Muslims in Heidelberg – open talk with open tea. “We should love the old and live for the new.”
This guiding idea of Mr. Würzner shall be the initial point for an exchange between the mayor and the parishioners.
The Heidelberg mosque is looking forward to a round of talks about actual topics of the Islam and muslims in Heidelberg.
A wide range of topics guarantees a fruitful discussion: “Muslimes in Heidelberg´s everyday life”; “Islam and environment”; “What does the Homo Heidelbergensis of the 21st century look ike?”; “Excuse me, do we know each other?”; “Stranger in our own country”, etc.
We are a multinational community, around 40 nations are gathering here on a regular basis. Since the mid 80´s, the community has developed constantly and has become the biggest muslimic community in Heidelberg, next to the Turkish mosque.
Despite of this fact, many of Heidelbergs inhabitants do not know us. For this not to happen with the “first man of Heidelberg”, we are suggesting this project.
Addiationaly to the talk round we will have a tour through our premises.
